Hey Sis,
I don’t talk about this part of my journey often… but healing from abuse is the reason I am who I am today.
Before the self-love, before the confidence, before empowering other women, I was surviving. I was walking on eggshells, shrinking myself, and quieting my voice just to stay safe. Domestic violence didn’t just bruise my spirit, it disconnected me from myself.
And for a long time, I didn’t even realize how much I disappeared inside my own struggles.
But healing brought me home to ME again.
Not the “strong face” version… not the “I’m fine” mask… but the woman underneath all of it. The one with a voice, worth, softness, and all that she desires. I'm not going to lie, it takes consistent effort to be Her.
This month, I shared more of that journey not from a place of pain, but from the becoming. The reclaiming. The moment I decided that the woman I wanted to be deserved her voice back.
If you’ve ever had to rebuild yourself after a hard season, this one is for you.
